You’ll Always Be My Thunder (5-3-12)
The sky is darkening, rain preparing to fall.
I hear the low rumbles of thunder as it makes it’s entrance into our lives.
Storming, I watched the clouds swirl, the rain twist. The thunder sings as the lightning lights the way.
Like a Ballet, the ballerina’s spin to the music and lights focus on them.
There in your arms, we watched as the scenes changed from Act 1 to Act 2.
As we laid there, we watched the world as Mother Nature danced her solo. Quiet, we watched in Awe and whispered sweet nothings.
As the climax of the storm built up, we turned to one another. I saw the lightning glowing within your eyes. I kissed you. Beautiful, now a thunderstorm upon our lips.
We found ourselves going somewhere only we knew. And as the storm ragged on, we made love in the darkness of your room. The thunder as our music and lightning as our light show. We starred in our own play.
And now every storm brings me back to looking out on that field. Safe in your arms as the ballerina’s danced through their final act. Gracefully they exited, waiting for their next show. The clouds began to clear, rain slowly stopping. Thunder playing it’s last number as the lightning faded into the sky.

I remember that love everyday.
Take me back to the comfort and seduction of those lips.
His hips.
His arms and heart entangled with mine.
This grain of salt never seemed so big.
The universe within our grasp.
Now only a star within the cosmos, searching for more light.
But the white dwarfs aligned and your touch no longer belongs to me.
Distant in space along with the rest of you.
Our bodies float along the milky ways of the solar system, but no longer do we hold each other’s hand in the process.
Fending for ourselves against the meteor shower.
Lips and hips, hearts and arms bruised along the way.
Find your way back to kiss away the pain of the boulders, who’s touch is rougher than it seems.
And I know I’ll forget the strength in you and me.
But for now, I’ll see you in my galaxy dreams.
